My favorite place to eat in all of Massachusetts. Everything I've had there is delicious, from the garlic green beans to the dry rub fish to the wood ear. It's hard to pick a favorite dish!

They do a good job with spice levels. My boyfriend likes things spicy to the point you're crying peppers from your eyes, while I lean toward as little spice as possible. They can do the whole range.

It gets crazy packed there, especially at lunch time on the weekends. But it's well worth the wait (and you can visit the grocery shop on the floor below them to bide the time!).

The skinny: Great place for authentic sichuan chinese food without having to go into Boston proper.

Atmosphere: 2nd story restaurant on route 9. Cute location, can be a bit busy during rush hour as it is quite popular.

Food: Great authentic Sichuan food. Note that some of the dishes can be quite spicy if you are not used to mala (a numbing kind of spice that they use in this cuisine). You can let them know the spice level you want for the food. Would recommend Sichuan Wonton w. Spicy Chili Sauce and Roast Beef, Tendon & Tripe with Chili Sauce for apps. Had a great lamb dish as an entree that I believe was called Sliced Cumin Tender Lamb with Chili Sauce. Dishes don't normally come with rice so I would order some of that too especially with how spicy it can get.

    Service: Friendly speedy service.

Price/Value: Large portions for entrees and pretty decent prices.

Would I come back: Yes! And have been multiple times, its a great place to get some spicy asian cuisine without taking the trek out to Boston.

This is in my opinion, the best Chinese restaurant in the Metrowest!!! The place is huge and always packed of people no matter weekday or weekend!! Picture attached is their parking lot on week day!! That in itself speaks a lot about the restaurant!!

Customer service is decent compared to other Chinese restaurants!! I have to give them a lot of credit for being able to maintain a huge number of diversified customer base. Customers here are not just Chinese or Asian people craving for Asian food. However, the food is very very authentic with very good spice and flavoring!!

The spice in their Jung Gu fish is to die for!! It is so spicy that it can make your stomach burn!! I also like their dried chicken with pepper!! They also offer a lot of dishes from Eastern China! I come here a lot when I am in the Metrowest area!! I have to say their food is even better than many famous Chinese restaurants in Boston Chinatown like Hot Eastern, or Dumpling House.

4 stars because the spice makes my stomach sick from times to times. Not only me, but my boyfriend and BFF as well. I don't think this due to the quality of the food. It's just that the food is more spicy than we can handle.

Pretty solid Sichuan food. We tried basically everything that was spicy on the menu and everything was good. My top recommendations are the spicy eggplants, beef noodle soup, and of course the ma po tofu. The cumin beef and Dan Dan noodles were also worth trying.

Although they specialize in spicy cuisine, their spice levels weren't as high as I expected. I consider my spice tolerance to be slightly above average and even though we ordered everything extra spicy, I wasn't breaking out in a sweat or suffering from any of the dishes. That being said, if you have a moderate tolerance for spice, definitely give this place a try.

Traveling to visit our daughter we decided after looking at yelp to stop and try Sichuan Gourmet. It's a spacious restaurant located on the second story with a Asian market below. We were warmly greeted and immediately led to a table. A steaming pot of herb tea and two glasses of water were delivered with menus. The menu is quite sizable. Pretty much something for everyone. Beef, pork, seafood, chicken, vegetables in different styles and spicy ness. We ordered chicken wings and a spicy dumplings as an appetizer. The wings (10) were piping hot, crispy and came with a sweet type of duck sauce.  Very good. The dumplings were steamed and coated with a hot chili oil which gave them flavor and heat at the same time. For entrees we ordered spicy sliced stir fried lamb, side of white rice, chicken lo mein, and Sichuan fried green beans. The lamb was very good. It had a cumin flavor to it and was stir fried with onions and scallions. It wasn't spicy to me at first but the more you ate it crept up on you. I paired it with the rice and it was delicious. The lo mein was also very good having a good portion for the price. The green beans were delicious. As I was arriving I was noticing other party's tables and many people had the green beans. I could taste why. These are perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even after I thought I was full I was still grabbing green beans. I recommend them and would definitely order again. The service was excellent and the value was also very good.
